Wonderful Wednesday

Our weekend started out with pumpkin carving....

......and continued with my hobo, rockstars and turkey trick or treating!

Trick or treat was followed by a thank you note to the girls from the neighbors grandson who's birthday they went to last weekend.  He is all about the girls!  So much so that he called grandma and asked her to come pick him up so he could trick or treat in our town.  This was under one condition...she ask me if he could come along with us! It's quite adorable actually!

Sunday night we had the most incredible view of the halo around the moon.  I had never seen anything like it!

Lastly, I'm quite lonely over here!  I know you're there reading everyday so won't you please follow me?  Thanks!

Bullying

I did this activity with my second grade girl scouts.   This statement is exactly correct...by the looks on their innocent little faces I could tell that at that moment in time they understood that you can never take back what you say.  There will always be scars left behind and everyone needs to always remember to think before we speak.  I can only hope that they remember this activity in their everyday lives.

All too often peoples feelings are being hurt.  In a society that already has so much hate and anger why is it that people feel the constant need to always add to it?

Weekend recap

What a nice busy fall weekend we had.  Finally we had some gorgeous weather to go along with wonderful plans.  We started the weekend out with soccer games.  Shocker right?  Both girls scored their first (ever!) goal and they also won their first game!  After not winning at all last season this was a nice change!  The whole team was so excited.  I couldn't be more proud of them for not giving up!

I wish I was able to get some pictures of Grant as he had a great game also!  Next time!

Saturday night we went to our state parks candle lit nature hike/haunted hike.  After waiting almost an hour for the haunted hike I wasn't so sure it was a good idea.  Camden's only 3 so I was unsure how he would do.  Here is him waiting in line with daddy.
All of the kids did pretty well during the haunted hike.  Camden got scared at one point when a gorilla came in his face and the other three were fine until the man with a chain saw chased their feet!  At the end we gave a donation and they all were under the assumption it was over.  As we were walking down the path back to the parking lot Abby was confronted by a "monster" that scared her.  Instead of crying she threw her hands in the air and yelled "I thought it was over".  It was hilarious.  She was very mad!

Sunday was our day for the pumpkin farm.  There's a neat llama farm nearby so we headed there for the afternoon.  We spent 2 1/2 hours going through a corn maze, train ride, scavenger hunt, bounce house, watching pig races and most of all...picking out just the right pumpkins!

However, one little boy would have been completely fine sitting on the wagon watching the John Deere Tractor ALL. DAY. LONG!

I hope you had a fun family weekend also!
